development: training and capacity building
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
Capacity building is a frequently occurring need in organizations, as they grow and develop, as new staff gets recruited, as new learnings emerge, and as donor requirements change. We are living in a rapidly changing global environment and organizations, especially non-profits, need to ensure that their staff is equipped to handle these changes.
The facilitators at i&b Consulting are qualified, certified professionals in the world of training and facilitation and work with individuals and groups to build capacity in technical areas and soft skills. The trainings that we offer are rooted in adult learning theory and participatory adult education methodologies and follow the steps of the adult learning cycle. Ideally, all trainings are initiated with a needs assessment to ensure that they are appropriately tailored to address participants’ and the organizations’ specific requirements. Follow-up and refresher trainings are also provided upon request.
i&b Consultants are experienced in working with diverse groups of participants, ranging from the community level to senior level organization heads and policy makers.
